The route between Sweden’s two largest cities is one of the most common for job moves, studies and family relocation. At the same time it is hard to sync two property deals. Home swap can be a smarter alternative than selling and buying in the wrong order — especially for a rented flat, but also when two tenant-owned apartment owners want to change where they live.
You describe your current home (city, area, size, type) and what you are looking for in the other city. Others do the same. When you find each other you continue with viewings, an agreement and — for a rented flat — approval from each landlord.
Triangle swaps also happen: three parties who together solve each other’s move. Be clear in the listing if you are open to that.
Say whether you live in Stockholm and want Göteborg — or the other way round. Mention municipality/district, number of rooms, approximate fee or rent if relevant, and timeline (flexible / by summer / immediately). Good photos and an honest description of the location increase replies markedly.
